What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small file a website places in your browser. Local storage is a similar idea — a small amount of data a website can save in your browser. Both let a site remember things between visits. Both can be cleared by you at any time.
What this site actually uses
There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking on this site. The only browser-storage item we set is your consent choice.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
apiworks_consent | Local storage | Stores your accept/reject choice for the cookie banner so it does not reappear | Until you clear it | apiworks.click (first-party) |
That is the complete inventory. We do not set analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies, because we do not run any.
What “no analytics” means in practice
No Google Analytics, no Google Ads tag, no Meta pixel, no Hotjar, no Microsoft Clarity, and no other measurement code runs on this site, before or after consent. We made that choice because a financial planning site does not need to follow you around the internet.
Managing or disabling storage
You can clear the consent preference at any time:
- using your browser’s clear-site-data controls, or
- using the button below, which removes the choice and reloads the page so the banner reappears.
Impact of disabling
Disabling local storage means the consent banner will reappear on each visit. It does not block any site functionality, because nothing on the site depends on tracking you.
Third-party usage
None. We do not embed third-party widgets, fonts, or media that set their own cookies. Fonts are self-hosted on our own domain.
